Lets face it, the stock radiator hose clamps suck.  You have either the spring clamp type or the old wire clamp type.  Despite which ones you have they are both just plain awful. 

The spring clamp style is a total pain to hold in place, and slide back.  You'll cringe if you have to put them on.

The wire style is even worse.  Once you loosen it chances are it'll fall apart, bend, and never go back together.  You'll be really mad when that's the only car you have, and you need to figure out how to get down to the parts store for a junk replacement clamp.

Given that you could always go with the old standby, the worm clamp.  Provided you get a good one local to you.  Otherwise you just get to deal with the clamp band stripping out and you're left spinning a screwdriver.

Why bother messing around with all this.  Fix it once, and be done with it using our new T-bolt clamps.
